Novoferm solid wood doors are made exclusively of carefully selected Nordic pine or African okoumé wood.

Pine stands out due to its inviting light colour and predominantly horizontal grain. Okoumé glows in a red-brown colour, which darkens under solar radiation. All woods come from controlled, renewable forests.

The London and Madrid patterns are available with a black outside handle. You can choose the handle position of the Paris, Rome and Amsterdam patterns – either at the right, left or in the middle. All garage doors are available with matching side door with a black rounded handle and security lock.

All solid wood garage doors are made of three layers of Nordic pine or five layers of African okoumé bonded to form waterproof multi-layer boards. Surface treatment prior to installation is essential for long-term weatherproof protection of the garage door (does not apply to okoumé, which is varnished at the factory).

The LED lighting kit

The LED lighting kit is recommended for showing off the best features of your garage door after sunset – and for helping keep trespassers off your property, too. It blends in with other sources of light e.g. illuminated windows and therefore stylishly showcases the architecture of your house. The lighting kit comprises four, six or eight LEDs depending on the garage door width, which are evenly distributed over the overall garage door width in a U-shaped rail. You can either remote control both it and your operator, or use a separate timer or movement detector.

Saves space and energy

The flat lighting kit is designed to be space-saving when mounted underneath the header so that nearly all the passage height is maintained. Long-life LEDs provide very bright illumination yet consume very little power. The lighting units can be easily shortened to size on both sides depending on the width of the garage door to attain precise, symmetrical illumination of the garage door.

Optional tension spring technology

Our premium sectional garage doors are available with optional vertical tension spring system (vertical tension spring) or sturdy torsion springs.

Compared to our sectional garage doors with 20 mm insulation, our high-quality premium sectional garage doors with 45 mm insulation (up to 3000 x 2750 mm (WxH))* can be supplied with torsion springs with maintenance-free spring fracture safety device that is tested to EN 12604 for a modest surcharge.

All larger versions are standard equipped with our torsion springs, thus ensuring that the garage door is held firmly and can be pushed up, even if a spring breaks.

*For models with Woodgrain finish. The size restriction for models with smooth surfaces is max. 3000 x 2500 mm.
