New applications simplify planning processes / Efficiently monitor and analyse the entire loading situation. Novoferm is opening the door to greater planning reliability and efficiency with new digital tools. In addition to the practical solution generator and the new service dashboard, the company will be presenting other new app solutions and smart tools at BAU 2023. They all have one thing in common: they simplify processes and speed up workflows. Specialist retailers, logistics specialists and industrial customers benefit just as much as planners and architects from these intelligent solutions, which provide valuable support in their daily work.
Transparent overview of logistics processes
With the new service dashboard, Novoferm presents a digital application for live monitoring of door systems and loading stations. This enables logistics operators to monitor complete loading situations even more conveniently and efficiently and manage all elements of a system centrally. In addition, the digital tool provides an overview of available error and warning messages with corresponding recommendations for action and displays all data and parameters of the door and loading system. If the installer uses the newly developed app for installation and service when commissioning the doors in future, it will automatically synchronise with the dashboard so that customers can see the door configuration at a glance. The launch of both applications is planned for the fourth quarter of 2023.
Architects, planners and industry benefit from the solution generator
The Novoferm solution generator supports planners, architects and industrial customers, particularly in the early planning phase. The practical digital tool already covers 90 per cent of Novoferm products - in addition to garage doors, commercial doors and, more recently, industrial sectional doors and high-speed roller shutters. Even without specialist knowledge, it allows suitable product recommendations to be generated quickly and easily for specific building projects and an initial rough cost estimate to be created as a guide. In addition, product data sheets and tender texts can be created at the touch of a button for further processing.
BIM service further expanded
Novoferm has also expanded its BIM models for seamless digital planning: in addition to multifunctional steel doors and industrial doors, BIM models are now also available for sliding fire doors. Users can configure products according to their requirements and simultaneously visualise them in a 3D preview. The generated models can then be downloaded in the desired 2D/3D AEC and BIM formats for further processing.
Expansion of the Novoferm extranet and new U-value calculator
The extranet (www.novoferm-extranet.de) provides all specialist target groups with quick access to all Novoferm documents, information and tools at any time. A new feature is the personal favourites area, with which documents can now be favoured, grouped and distributed even more easily. The new U-value calculator, which can be used to easily calculate the heat transfer coefficient for Novoferm sectional garage doors, can be accessed directly from the extranet.
Quick help on the building site, during planning and at customer appointments
The popular NovoDocu app gives installers, specialist dealers and architects quick and convenient access to all Novoferm documents at any time. Selected documents from Novoferm partners GEZE, dormakaba and ECO Schulte are also available. This means that product data sheets, videos, connection plans and CAD drawings, among other things, can be called up at the construction site, during planning and in consultations with just one click and easily shared if required.
Experience digital tools live at BAU
At BAU 2023 in Munich, Novoferm will be showcasing its diverse digital solutions at the Multimedia Tower on its stand (Hall B3, Stand 339). Visitors can familiarise themselves with and try out the intuitive tools on site.
