Guarantee conditions for doors
Garage doors are intended for installation in access areas for people in privately used garages and their use is to ensure safe access for goods and vehicles in the living area accompanied or guided by people. Although garage doors are tested in accordance with national and international standards and are built according to the state of the art, they can still pose hazards.
The improper use of doors is particularly evident in the following cases:
- If they are not used in accordance with their intended use
- Use without observing the minimum protection levels in accordance with EN12453
- If they are improperly maintained or serviced, in particular by incompetent persons
- If loads exceeding the normal manual force are applied to the door leaf (only open and close the door leaf without load or do not intentionally counteract the opening and closing)
- If operators are used that do not belong or are incorrectly adjusted
- If improper components and parts are installed in or attached to the door, the locking system or the operator and or changes are made to the original delivery condition of these.
- Changes or modifications have been made to the door or its components
- If the installation, operating and maintenance instructions, the respective country-specific standards and guidelines and applicable safety regulations are not observed
- The door is not in a technically safe condition
- Door elements, operators and radio controls are not toys for children The door element is not suitable for use by persons (including children) with limited mental, physical or sensory capabilities or abilities, lack of knowledge or lack of experience.
A door element is not suitable for use as a load-bearing component.
The installation must be vertical or horizontal depending on the design.
The running rails must be aligned vertically or according to the installation instructions.
Sectional doors Up-and-over doors
5 or 10-year factory guarantee on sectional doors Type iso20-4 / iso45-4 with vertical tension spring. In addition to the warranty based on our terms and conditions of sale and delivery, we grant a 10-year factory warranty for a maximum of 50,000 operating cycles on the above sectional doors. Our factory guarantee is 5 years on wearing parts such as locks, hinges, springs, bearings, rollers, pulleys and associated ropes under normal use or up to 25,000 operating cycles. We grant a 10-year factory guarantee on the sections against rusting through from the inside to the outside, on the separation of steel from the foam and on the base, intermediate, side and lintel seals.
In the case of tension spring doors, the multiple spring assemblies and the double wire ropes must be replaced after approx. 25,000 operating cycles.000 operating cycles (see assembly instructions).
If these or parts thereof are demonstrably unusable or significantly impaired in their usability due to material or manufacturing defects, we will repair or replace them free of charge at our discretion. No liability will be accepted for damage caused by incorrect installation and assembly work, incorrect commissioning, improper operation, failure to carry out the prescribed maintenance, improper use or any unauthorised modifications to the door construction. Only original accessories may be used for attachments and conversions as well as for replacement during maintenance or repair work. The same applies to damage caused by transport, force majeure, external influences or natural wear and tear as well as special atmospheric stresses. Furthermore, the warranty is void if our installation and operating instructions are not observed.
No liability can be accepted following unauthorised modifications or repairs to functional parts or the application of additional filling weight that is no longer compensated for by the prescribed tension springs.
The surface guarantee for all door leaves installed inland in the original end-coated colour covers adhesion of the paint or film as well as corrosion protection and light fastness.
Slight colour changes that may occur over time are excluded from the warranty claim. Doors and door surfaces installed on the coast and in coastal areas are subject to aggressive environmental influences and require additional protection. Excluded from this guarantee are defects of any kind caused by damage to the product, e.g. abrasion, mechanical or wilful damage, soiling and improper cleaning.
In the case of primer-coated doors, the final treatment must be carried out on site within three months of the delivery date. Minor surface defects, slight rust, dust inclusions or superficial scratches do not constitute grounds for complaint in the case of primer-coated doors, as they are no longer visible after sanding and final treatment.
In the case of doors from a width of around 3 metres and dark colours or foil shades, direct sunlight may cause deflection and impair the function. Technical changes to our products due to product changes, colour or material changes or changes to production processes and thus their external appearance may occur and are reasonable to a limited extent within the scope of a warranty-related replacement. Defects must be reported to us immediately in writing; the parts concerned must be sent to us on request.
We shall not bear the costs of removal and installation, freight and postage. If a complaint proves to be unjustified on subsequent inspection, we reserve the right to charge for any costs incurred. This guarantee is only valid in conjunction with the receipted invoice and begins on the day of delivery.
10-year factory guarantee
In addition to the guarantee based on our terms and conditions of sale and delivery, we grant a 10-year factory guarantee for a maximum of 50,000 operating cycles on the above-mentioned up-and-over doors. up-and-over doors. If these or parts thereof are demonstrably unusable or significantly impaired in their usability due to material or manufacturing defects, we will repair or replace them free of charge at our discretion.

The final colour treatment by the customer must be carried out within 4 weeks of delivery at a maximum wood moisture content of 20% for timber fillings and within 3 months for steel fillings.
