Werth, 04.05.2017 Novoferm is one of the absolute top names in the logistics industry: The company was awarded 2nd prize in the "Doors and Ramps" category in the 2017 Best Logistics Brand of the Year awards at the end of April. The door and loading technology from Novoferm, according to the judges, offers perfect solutions for the interface between production, storage and transport. The "Best Logistics Brand" award was presented by the trade magazine LOGISTIK HEUTE and the Bundesvereinigung Logistik (BVL) e. V. Logistics experts and readers of LOGISTIK HEUTE were asked to select their "favourite brands" from 260 brands "in a total of 11 categories".
The categories selected for 2017 reflect the diversity and complexity of the logistics industry: the survey asked for the top brands among shipping companies, rail transport service providers and manufacturers of vans and delivery vehicles, as well as among specialists in conveyor and storage technology, warehouse management IT and the labelling and identification of goods. The "Doors and loading technology" category was added to the competition in 2017 because the "loading situation" interface is becoming increasingly important in terms of speed, efficiency and safety. For the logistics experts, Novoferm, as one of the leading system providers of gates, doors, frames, operators and loading technology in Europe, guarantees the smooth flow of materials and creates opportunities to further optimise supply chains.
Brands that achieve the highest turnover in Germany and are relevant to the market were selected. However, the award as one of the best logistics brands extends beyond borders, as LOGISTIK HEUTE Editor-in-Chief Thilo Jörgl pointed out at the award ceremony in Berlin on 24 April. He pointed out that Germany is the "reigning world logistics champion" and that companies all over the world rely on strong brands in the various logistics sectors for their supply chain management.
Novoferm is also literally successful across borders because, as a system provider, the company offers innovative and customised solutions for all tasks relating to the loading situation: In addition to a wide selection of doors, dock levellers and dock sheltersin a wide range of specifications, the Novoferm brand is synonymous with new ideas and tried-and-tested technology for increasing the flow of materials. Increasing efficiency in loading, sustainability and energy saving are goals that are consistently pursued alongside safety at the loading point. Special solutions and various patents confirm the technical progress.
Novoferm develops and produces sophisticated and harmonised components from a single source. These include control technology and centralised door management systems, as well as innovative safety solutions such as the new Calematic system. It holds lorries firmly in position during loading and, as a compressed air-driven system, is a very low-maintenance and "green" solution. The future is clearly in sight with the new Lion4.0 docking portal. This Logistics 4.0 solution enables customers to control their loading points from any location.
Novoferm's range of services is increasingly determined by the possibilities of information and communication technologies. Particularly in the industrial sector, intelligent industrial doors and loading systems can ensure faster and more energy-efficient processes and reduce costs at the same time. Electronic control systems from Novoferm, for example, detect when doors need to be opened and how wide they need to be opened, while new software solutions allow the entire loading situation to be monitored, displayed and optimised.
A total of 34 brands were honoured at the Bertelsmann Representative Office in Berlin in front of more than 200 guests from the worlds of business, politics and science. The award for Novoferm was accepted by Norbert Dyx, Managing Director of Novoferm Vertriebs GmbH, Michael Heinrichs, Key Account Manager Loading Technology and Michael Menzel, who as Managing Director Docking Solution is responsible for the loading technology division in the Novoferm Group.
