Novoferm will not be exhibiting at BAU in Munich, the world's leading trade fair for architecture, materials and systems, in January 2021. The company made this decision due to the currently unpredictable further development of the coronavirus pandemic. "We did not take the decision lightly, but the general development and actual circumstances in January are uncertain and unpredictable. After weighing up all the factors, the cancellation is the right step and gives everyone involved planning security," says Rainer Schackmann, CEO of Novoferm.
As one of the leading European system suppliers of door and gate solutions and loading systems, Novoferm traditionally has one of the largest stands at BAU. A trade fair presence on this scale involves considerable effort and requires time-consuming preparation. Once again this year, the Novoferm trade fair team has been working for months to present product innovations and highlights to German and international guests in 2021.
"For us as an international company, personal contact with customers and partners from all over the world - at the internationally orientated BAU - is one of the most important reasons for taking part in the trade fair. At present, it is not possible to reliably predict whether it will be completely safe for interested parties, customers and employees to visit the trade fair without any health risks or restrictions. However, we consider personal contact in particular to be jeopardised in the current situation in view of possible travel restrictions and strict requirements. A BAU with distancing rules, strict hygiene regulations and official orders does not correspond to the character of the trade fair and is not the same," Schackmann continues to emphasise. "We will now focus on projects and measures that are needed to be well positioned together with our customers during and after the crisis."
