Garage door specialist particularly committed to young professionals / employers' association recognises Novoferm in the "ExcellentTraining!" campaign
Taking part in trade fairs as part of the sales team during the apprenticeship, helping out with maintenance on site, planning and implementing a technical project for your own company hall on your own responsibility and experiencing all departments and different locations with a wide variety of tasks: Anyone who completes an apprenticeship at Novoferm in Haldern and Isselburg-Werth is given a wide range of opportunities and is fully utilised from the outset. "It is impressive how individualised and comprehensive the training is here, and that Novoferm influences and manages the generational change with its own junior staff in such a targeted way," said Jennifer Middelkamp from the Entrepreneurs' Association, praising the member company. In recognition of this, she presented the training managers with the "ExcellentTraining!" certificate and a gift basket.
Andreas Hömke, Head of HR, accepted the award in the presence of many trainees. "We are delighted to receive this special recognition. The number of apprenticeships is constant and we are generally able to offer all trainees a permanent position." The company trains apprentices in four professions: Industrial clerks and mechanics, process technologists and electronics technicians for industrial engineering. The apprentices are also trained in a training alliance with two other industrial companies, giving them an all-round view of the industry. The new approaches taken in recruiting are also exemplary, with social media being the keyword here. Press spokeswoman Heike Verbeek reports: "Instagram, Facebook and YouTube feature videos in 'question hail' style. Here, our trainees talk about their career choice and their tasks." Encouragingly, more and more applicants confirm in interviews that their decision in favour of Novoferm was also due to these authentic insights into the team.
"There is a huge shortage of skilled labour - despite all the crises such as coronavirus, the explosion in energy and raw material prices, supply chain problems and war. That's why companies in the Münsterland region increased the number of apprenticeships on offer by a further 10.4 per cent in July," says Wolfgang Schmitz, Managing Director of the employers' association. In this country, companies are sticking to their training programmes and showing exemplary commitment to the next generation. "We are shining a spotlight on this role model function and honouring particularly active member companies as part of the 'AusgezeichnetAusbilden!' campaign."
The award from the employers' organisation is part of the second edition of #NRWirtschaftBildetAus, a training campaign from unternehmer nrw. The aim is to promote training with YouTube videos, among other things. To this end, the employers' association also brings the metal and electrical industry's InfoTruck to the Borken district every year, as Middelkamp reports: "This year, 132 young people were able to familiarise themselves with technical professions, including at Novoferm in Werth, try out typical work for themselves and talk to trainees in production."
