New digital assistant makes it easier for Novoferm partners to answer technical questions and find information

With the new AI Assistant, Novoferm – one of Europe’s largest system providers of door and gate solutions as well as loading systems – is expanding its digital offering with another practical tool. As a central point of contact for queries regarding technical data, product details and documentation, the AI tool – available on the Novoferm extranet – simplifies the retrieval of information during day-to-day work with Novoferm product solutions, technical and contextual knowledge, marketing solutions, services and documents – for consultation, planning and implementation.

Easy access to knowledge from internal sources

The new AI assistant specifically accesses all content on the Novoferm websites, all technical information on the extranet – such as on fire safety, accessibility or thermal insulation – as well as all documents stored there, such as installation instructions, approvals or brochures. The tool thus provides simple and direct access to almost all product and service information. Within seconds, the assistant provides answers regarding garage doors, industrial doors, loading systems, and residential and commercial doors. A key feature here is that the assistant uses exclusively internal company content – but does so automatically and within the framework of an AI-supported model that is continuously evolving and therefore continuously learning. The content generated may vary depending on the query and should be regarded as a guide rather than a definitive statement.

Practical support for typical everyday queries

Much like when working with AI tools such as Chat GPT or Co-Pilot, specific questions – for example, regarding a current construction project – can be answered through dialogue. The assistant helps you find relevant information, benefits, technical data or documents more quickly. Typical questions include, for example: “What needs to be taken into account when installing fire doors?”, “What are the highlights of Novoferm front doors?”, “Are there garage doors with security class RC2?”, “What is the difference between loading bridges with a folding wedge and those with a feed mechanism?”, “What display stands does Novoferm offer for my showroom?”, “Where can I find the installation instructions for product X?”. Important to note: The answers provided by the AI serve initially as a first point of reference. For final decisions, the original documents on the extranet or the relevant Novoferm experts should be consulted. Furthermore, the more precisely a question is formulated, the higher the quality of the answers the AI assistant can provide.

Support for planning, consultation and installation

The new AI assistant is available around the clock – regardless of location or working hours. Thanks to its dialogue-based interface and integrated direct links to pages containing detailed information or documents, users can find the right resources more quickly. This gives planners and architects, for example, quick access to relevant planning data, whilst specialist retailers can answer customer queries more swiftly. Installers also benefit from practical assistance directly on site. However, the AI assistant does not replace technical advice, but serves as a supplementary research tool. “Our new AI assistant makes it easier to access a wealth of information about our products and services. Registration and use via the Novoferm Extranet

Novoferm partners can now use the AI assistant via the Novoferm Extranet at www.novoferm-extranet.de after logging in. Anyone who does not yet have access should simply contact their designated Novoferm representative
