A new approach to installation: the UniFix steel frame

A new approach to installation

Novoferm presents the UniFix steel door frame for quick and secure door installation

With UniFix, Novoferm is expanding its range of high-quality steel door frames. Available in two versions, this new product combines easy installation with high stability and, thanks to a decorative rebate similar to that found on classic wooden frames, ensures a consistent appearance throughout the building – an ideal solution for door and interior fit-outs in both new builds and refurbishment projects.

High flexibility and easy installation

The new UniFix steel door frame has been designed by Novoferm – one of Europe’s leading system providers of door and gate solutions as well as loading systems – specifically for quick, secure and flexible installation. It is suitable for both steel and timber door leaves and can be used in solid walls as well as in drywall constructions. The frame is available for wall thicknesses from 80 millimetres. Even thinner wall thicknesses are possible on request. The adjustable decorative rebate reliably compensates for wall tolerances from –5 mm to +15 mm, thus enabling precise installation even on uneven wall surfaces. Thanks to its well-designed construction, the UniFix steel frame can be installed in just a few steps – from the optional fixing of the counter-bracket, through alignment and backfilling, to the final snap-fit assembly of the rear panel.

Two versions to suit every requirement

UniFix is available in two versions: UniFix Light for door leaves weighing up to 80 kilograms, featuring screwless installation using mounting foam, and UniFix Strong for door leaves weighing up to 120 kilograms, with additional screw fixing via flat iron anchors. Both versions offer installers a high level of installation reliability with minimal effort and are therefore ideal for efficient workflows on site – whether in residential or commercial construction. If desired, backfilling with mortar is possible, and with the UniFix Strong version, backfilling with mineral wool is also an option. Optionally, a practical set of counter-brackets at the bottom of the frame ensures even greater stability of the counter-frame – particularly where, for example, no backfilling is planned with UniFix Strong.

Design freedom for seamless interior spaces

In addition to its functional advantages, the new UniFix steel inner frame also impresses with its design. The decorative rebate on the side opposite the hinges is modelled on that of a wooden frame, ensuring a harmonious appearance – for example, when both steel and wooden doors are used in a building. In addition, Novoferm offers a wide range of options for the colour design of the surfaces: as standard, the new EC steel frame is supplied with a light grey primer – but on request it can also be powder-coated in RAL, RAL Design or metallic colours. The powder coatings used meet the highest GSB certification standards and offer high colour and gloss stability, excellent adhesion, and outstanding corrosion and abrasion resistance. This makes UniFix not only a functional but also a permanently aesthetic component of modern interior design.

Comprehensive marketing support for specialist retailers

Novoferm is providing comprehensive support for its specialist retail and trade partners to mark the product launch – including up-to-date price lists, promotional materials and concise online training courses via the Novoferm extranet. “With UniFix, we have taken the classic steel frame to the next level,” explains Michel Siebe, Key Account Manager at Novoferm. “The system combines ease of installation, stability and design quality – offering a practical solution for both retailers and installers alike.”
