Novoferm now offers even more efficient and energy-saving complete solutions for the safe loading and unloading of lorries and containers. There are not only innovations in the fully insulated loading bay, Novoferm is also presenting optimised solutions in the areas of control technology and digitalisation. Logistics operators benefit from a wide range of functions, from intelligent feed to secure door opening.
Insulated loading solution optimised
Novoferm has expanded its energy-efficient solutions, as protection against cold and heat in temperature-controlled warehouses is becoming increasingly important for logistics companies in times of energy transition. Dock levellers must be optimally insulated both at rest and during loading in order to avoid energy losses. With its high insulating properties, the new fully insulated NovoDock L730 loading dock offers 40 per cent more thermal protection than non-insulated dock levellers. If the opening of the dock leveller also needs to be closable to prevent cold or heat loss, the combination with the new T-Door from Novoferm is the right solution. Thanks to the special T-shaped recess in the lower door area, the T-Door ensures energy efficiency. Thanks to the new steel construction, the dock leveller is also particularly robust and allows a lower installation height than previous dock levellers from Novoferm. It is optimally matched to the new DCC drive developed and produced in-house.
Smooth processes thanks to new control units
The digital heart of the new NovoDock L730 loading solution is the new i-Vision 5 control units. The new generation of control units constantly monitors all components, ensuring smooth operation without downtime. Preventive measures and necessary maintenance are reported immediately - either to the user or the contractual partner for maintenance. Programming and data analysis are conveniently carried out via Bluetooth or connected cloud systems.
Open lorries safely with the SLOD function
Roller shutters are increasingly being used in the rear of lorries. These are only opened after the lorry has docked outside the hall. This saves energy, but the resulting gap between the lorry and the loading bridge poses a potential risk of falling. With the SLOD function, the gap between the ramp and the loading platform is safely bridged before the lorry door is opened, allowing the operator to step onto the feed without risk. The QuickDock function for operating the dock leveller has also been extended so that the docking process can be carried out conveniently at the touch of a button.
iQ-Slide for safe loading on the ramp
One of the most common causes of accidents during the loading process is when the lorry or trailer is pushed forwards by the force of the forklift truck entering and exiting. To protect against such accidents, Novoferm is offering the patented iQ-Slide feed for the first time with the NovoDock L730 dock leveller. The slide prevents slipping off the dock leveller by automatically moving with the truck. This protects the forklift driver and the goods. A new feed function ensures even greater safety.
Sophisticated features increase user-friendliness
In line with Novoferm's holistic approach, the NovoDock L730 dock leveller is particularly user-friendly and ergonomic. It can also be equipped with NC Silence Plus for noise insulation and slip resistance. The system reduces noise by 85 per cent and increases slip resistance (R12). It can also be easily retrofitted to existing dock levellers. A new LED user control system also enables faster orientation and more efficient operation of the dock leveller.
