Particularly high thermal insulation thanks to thermal separation
New garage door scores with energy efficiency
In times of climate change and high energy prices, the thermal insulation of building elements is of great importance. This also applies to garages, especially if they are integrated into the thermal building envelope. With this in mind, Novoferm has developed the insulated Evolution premium sectional door. Thanks to its thermal separation, it is particularly energy-efficient and thus offers specialist companies additional arguments when advising customers.
Up to 17 per cent improved insulation
With the thermally insulated door for single and double garages, Novoferm, one of Europe's largest system providers of door and gate solutions as well as loading systems, is responding to the desire of many building owners for more energy-saving potential in their own homes. The outer and inner shells of the Evolution premium sectional door are thermally separated, which increases the buffer effect of the garage space and minimises heat loss.
"The new, optimised steel sections are manufactured exclusively in a double-walled, thermally separated sandwich construction," explains André Weyer, Product Manager at Novoferm. "With a thickness of 45 mm, they ensure particularly high energy efficiency and up to 17 per cent better insulation compared to door solutions with comparable section thicknesses." The significantly improved panel thermal insulation value of U(p) = 0.46 W/m2Kis also achieved through additional seals between the sections.
Uniform appearance for the inside of the door
Another new feature is the uniform colour gradient in traffic white on the inside of the door. This ensures a harmonious appearance on the inside of the door. The external colour of the door is not visible on the profiles or on the section transitions on the inside of the Evolution model.
Flexible installation, convenient use
In addition to efficient thermal insulation and high-quality design, the Evolution premium sectional door offers further advantages. For example, it is optionally equipped with the unique NovoPort premium operator, which is particularly suitable for many installation situations thanks to its lateral installation. In combination with the integrated inside push button and the built-in LED lighting (1.6 watts), it offers users a great deal of convenience. Of course, this operator also features bidirectional radio technology, so that the door position can be reliably queried at any time using a hand-held transmitter or smartphone app and the door can be controlled accordingly.
For increased security, the door is optionally available in a burglar-resistant version with resistance class RC 2. It can also be fitted with a security light barrier and an energy-saving LED light strip for the exterior lighting. The thermally insulated premium product is suitable for private garages with a width of up to 5.50 metres, both in new builds and when renovating existing buildings.
