NOVOFERM GROUP OPENS STATE-OF-THE-ART TRAINING CENTRE

Werth / Dortmund, March 2016 : Novoferm, one of Europe's largest system suppliers of doors, gates, frames and operators, is offering its customers even more service and expertise: a new, state-of-the-art training centre with an attractive showroom and adjoining test and technology centre has now been opened at the Dortmund site in central Germany.

For the first time, customers and employees can gain a comprehensive overview of the entire product and service range of the entire Novoferm Group here. The focus is on highly qualified training programmes in a modern learning environment. The new location is also the future headquarters of the Novoferm subsidiary tormatic. With this investment totalling millions, Novoferm is consistently pursuing its customer-oriented corporate philosophy and setting the course for sustainable growth.

Training has a long tradition in the Novoferm Group, but in the past this was carried out in a decentralised manner in individual subsidiaries. At the new Novoferm tormatic site, a training centre covering over 1,000 square metres has now been opened for the entire Novoferm Group. This is the first time that Novoferm has presented itself to its guests as an integrated group of companies. In addition to a training room with state-of-the-art media technology, the spacious showroom provides an insight into the entire product and service range of the Group. Innovative and economical solutions take centre stage. Particularly attractive: the lively showroom architecture, which stages the products in different, concrete theme worlds. This turns the showroom itself into a stage. Visitors can directly realise the actual added value in real installation situations. Another centrepiece is the large workshop area: under the guidance of professional trainers, training participants learn how to correctly assemble, install and dismantle doors, gates, frames and operators. In addition to these comprehensive product training courses - in theory and practice - interested parties can soon look forward to additional targeted seminars on management and organisational topics, etc. There will also be special offers for architects, for example on the subject of fire protection.

Innovations as a growth driver
The demand for training is high, as economic and technical developments today require lifelong learning from almost everyone. One of the key drivers for the new training centre was to meet this market demand and implement it in the form of a specific offer. Added to this is Novoferm's unconditional will to grow. Market-driven innovations are a growth engine. "With our training courses, we want to offer our customers and employees a real advantage and further qualify them professionally so that we can continue to grow together in the market and provide high-quality services in the future. Our aim is not only to develop practical products, but also to create concrete added value with innovative solutions," says Rainer Schackmann, CEO Novoferm Group.

A new technology and test centre has been strategically linked to the recently opened training centre as a further guarantee of success. Behind this is a comprehensive reorganisation to ensure future viability. In order to further strengthen the innovative power of the Novoferm Group, the Group's top management has been reorganised and the Innovation Competence Centre has been established. As Chief Innovation Officer, Michael Glanz, Managing Director of Novoferm tormatic, is responsible for setting the right course. "In future, the innovations of the entire Novoferm Group will be coordinated and aligned centrally in this special area in order to bring together customer-oriented solutions in an even more targeted manner," says Michael Glanz. "The latest developments and technologies can then be tested and trialled directly in Dortmund." Synergies and constructive dialogue with the training centre are desired. "We have deliberately focussed on an open and inspiring interior design throughout the new building, so that the theme of 'innovations around doors and gates' can have a lasting effect from the outside and successfully find its way into the reality of the company," continues Michael Glanz.

Visitors to the training centre
The training centre has an international focus. It is aimed primarily at Novoferm customers and guests from Germany, but also from all over Europe. Interested parties can enrol for the one- to two-day training courses via their responsible sales representative or online at www.novoferm.de. The response to the programme has been good. Demand is high.
