Novoferm steel doors with extended functionality

The demands placed on door solutions have increased in recent years, particularly with regard to digital access control and escape route control. At the same time, functional doors must fulfil the highest requirements in terms of fire and burglary protection. In order to meet these challenges, Novoferm is continuously developing its steel doors and, in addition to major extensions, is also focusing on optimising details.
For this reason, the company is further expanding its portfolio in the technical property door segment. The NovoPorta Premio steel door series is now available in additional versions and features. Novoferm is thus offering even more versatile solutions for the constantly increasing technical requirements for functional doors.
Extended door formats and new equipment details
With the size extension of the proven thick rebate steel door series NovoPorta Premio, all fire protection classes up to EI90 will also be available in oversizes in future. They can therefore be configured with single leaves up to a maximum construction dimension of 1,500 x 3,000 mm and in the double-leaf version up to 3,000 x 3,000 mm. The range of applications has also been extended, as these doors are now also approved for installation at greater heights. They can therefore also be used in particularly high wall openings, in raised installation positions such as in logistics and high-bay warehouses or on raised floors such as in data and computer centres. The Premio oversizes will also be available for these applications from the third quarter of 2023.
In addition, numerous new special features can be realised with the NovoPorta Premio - for example with mechanical locks or electrically operated motorised lock variants, including for door systems with increased burglary protection requirements. New fire-resistant insulating glass and the option of using fire-resistant ventilation grilles will round off the portfolio from the third quarter of 2023.
Improved installation for every installation situation
At the same time, NovoPorta Premio will be even easier to install in future. The multifunctional mounting element in the basic corner frame is suitable for various installation methods for installation in all common wall types. The further improved rebate screw installation not only shortens the installation time, it also requires fewer fasteners and is compatible with a greater variety of frame back panels. This further optimised and time-saving Premio corner frame solution will be launched on the market in the fourth quarter.
Parallel to the optimisation of the corner frames, the block frames have also been significantly improved. The installer can now work according to the motto "screw it on, done". Novoferm already incorporates backfilling into the frame at the factory, so that the installer is spared the time-consuming task of backfilling on site. In addition, the stability and processing quality of the prefabricated block frames have been further improved. The product will be launched on the market in the second quarter of 2023.
Competent partner also for timber door manufacturers
In addition to the Premio and Plano platform door systems, Novoferm will be demonstrating its expertise as a partner to the timber door industry at BAU. The company offers a wide range of frame profiles and can realise a variety of customer-specific frame solutions. Together with the technically sophisticated timber commercial doors, individual door systems can be realised that meet the customer's wishes and requirements in terms of design, functionality and security.
