Novoferm and KIWI.KI launch SmartDoor Steel
Werth, February 2021. Novoferm, one of the leading companies for door and gate solutions and loading systems in Europe, and KIWI.KI, the market leader for digital locking systems for the German housing industry, are jointly launching SmartDoor Steel. The steel door is manufactured by Novoferm and supplied ex works with digital door access technology from KIWI.KI. The door can be installed in technical rooms or as a door to underground car parks and stairwells, for example. It can also be used for arcades. Following the integration of KIWI.KI technology into Novoferm doors for multi-storey and underground car parks, the door solution is already the second joint project from the cooperation between the two companies that began in early 2020.
Digital access systems in high-quality steel doors
Customers can choose from Novoferm's multifunctional steel doors from the NovoPorta Premio series. The doors in the SmartDoor Steel version will in future be suitable for almost all requirements and areas of application in apartment blocks as EI2 30 / T30 fire protection, smoke protection, sound insulation, multi-purpose or security doors and can be locked and unlocked using a transponder or app. SmartDoor Steel increases the effectiveness of inventory management and is primarily aimed at companies in the property and housing industry.

KIWI.KI Managing Director Karsten Nölling confirms: "The SmartDoor Steel from Novoferm is an important addition to our product portfolio. The door solution covers even more of our customers' use cases, making day-to-day management even more efficient and cost-effective." A major advantage of the new product is the technology already integrated ex works, which makes retrofitting or upgrading unnecessary: Customers can assign individual access rights directly after the door has been installed.
