Novoferm presents NovoSlide Industry, a "European" sliding fire door
Werth, January 2019. The introduction of harmonised European product standards for fire protection closures (EN 16034) and doors (EN 13241) was a major step towards further harmonisation of the EU internal market. However, there are still different building law requirements for fire protection in the member states. As one of the leading European system suppliers of doors, gates, frames and operators, Novoferm is therefore launching a new generation of fire-resistant sliding doors on the market that fully fulfils the requirements for all common European fire resistance classes. The NovoSlide Industry is expected to be available throughout Europe from mid-2019 and can be used reliably throughout Europe as a CE-marked component. The NovoSlide Industry also scores with the usual Novoferm variety of equipment and installation options.
When companies plan industrial plants or larger commercial properties across Europe, for example, country-specific fire protection requirements often cause additional work. The same applies to companies that offer fire protection products and services in different countries: Sometimes Sliding fire doors must reliably separate fire compartments for 30 minutes, sometimes 60, 90 or even 120 minutes. With the NovoSlide Industry, Novoferm has developed a "European fire protection sliding door" that fulfils all the usual time classes in the various EU countries - from EI2 30 to EI260and EI2 90 to EI2 120. The NovoSlide Industry naturally complies with the European product standards EN 16034 and EN 13241, which apply to fire protection closures and doors.
The new sliding door is not only "limitless", it also impresses with its reliability, extras and numerous options in terms of size, equipment and installation. Novoferm will be offering the NovoSlide Industry as a single-leaf and double-leaf door as well as a telescopic door, in dimensions up to 8,500 x 6,000 mm. Because of these large dimensions, Novoferm attaches particular importance to ease of installation and good running behaviour of the door. A threshold-free wicket door is one of the useful options of the NovoSlide Industry.
Customers can benefit from these technical specifications largely regardless of the construction of the walls or other property-related conditions. NovoSlide Industry is designed for the most common types of installation and can be customised to suit different property requirements thanks to the numerous equipment options. Of course, this also includes an appealing overall impression. This is ensured, for example, by the flat surface of the new sliding door, which, in combination with the flush design of the track and counterweight panelling, creates an attractive and high-quality design.
