Novoferm will be presenting its current product portfolio with numerous innovations on 820m2 at BAU in Munich from 17 to 22 April 2023. As one of Europe's largest system providers of door and gate solutions as well as loading systems, the company is focussing on extended application options, the best possible thermal insulation and energy-saving solutions as well as simpler installation.
New steel frame doors for interior applications
Since this year, Novoferm has been producing two new tubular steel frame doors with its own components in Germany and has added the NovoFire Steel steel frame doors to its NovoFire range. The steel smoke and fire protection system scores with a fire resistance duration of 30 minutes and at the same time offers an architecturally sophisticated solution for commercial buildings. The doors are based on a modular system that enables an even wider range of variants in the new steel version.
Extended door formats and new equipment details
The company is also expanding its portfolio in the technical commercial door segment. The NovoPorta Premio steel door series is now available in additional designs and fittings. With the size extension of the proven thick rebate steel door series NovoPorta Premio, all fire protection classes up to EI90 will also be available in oversizes in future. They can therefore be configured as single-leaf doors up to a maximum installation dimension of 1,500 x 3,000 mm and as double-leaf versions up to 3,000 x 3,000 mm.
New garage door and further developed side drive
Another trade fair highlight is the newly developed premium sectional door ISO 45 Evolution, in which the outer and inner shells are thermally separated. The sandwich panels with a thickness of 45 mm provide up to 17 per cent better insulation than garage door solutions with comparable section thicknesses.
A further development of the NovoPort Speed side operator will also be presented for the first time at BAU. With an opening speed of up to 29 cm/sec, the integrated high-speed function enables doors to be opened up to 50 per cent faster than conventional operators. The 20 per cent flatter and therefore space-saving housing not only impresses with its stylish design: the all-round LED light strip ensures even better, completely glare-free illumination of the garage.
Control garage doors easily via app
With the Homematic IP and Delta Dore apps, sectional garage doors from Novoferm can already be controlled via smartphone. The new Novoferm WiFi module now opens up further possibilities - especially for voice control and even easier integration of the door into existing smart home systems. The module is connected to the garage door opener via a mini-USB interface and establishes a wireless connection between the smart home system and the door opener. This creates the conditions for using Amazon Alexa, Google Home and mediola for door control in no time at all. The WiFi module will be available in the second quarter of 2023.
New app shortens order processing and measurements
In addition to smart applications for end customers, Novoferm will also be presenting new digital solutions at BAU 2023 that provide architects, construction and project managers, technicians, fitters and facility managers with specific additional benefits. For example, the new NovoSite app can be used to prepare technical clarification in an uncomplicated and clear manner and carry out measurements particularly efficiently. NovoSite automatically creates the order, commission and item lists and links the stored floor plan with the respective products. Another particularly practical and time-saving feature is the ability to use the new app to plan measurement routes on the construction site in advance. In conjunction with Bluetooth rangefinders, the measured dimensions can also be digitally transferred to the app and automatically compared with the plan dimensions, which not only saves time but also reduces the error rate and therefore potential follow-up costs.
Transparent overview of logistics processes
With the new service dashboard, Novoferm presents a digital application for live monitoring of door systems and loading stations. This enables logistics operators to monitor complete loading situations even more conveniently and efficiently and manage all elements of a system centrally. In addition, the digital tool provides an overview of available error and warning messages with corresponding recommendations for action and displays all data and parameters of the door and loading system. If the installer uses the newly developed app for installation and service when commissioning the doors in future, it will automatically synchronise with the dashboard so that customers can see the door configuration at a glance.
New industrial door operator with DC technology
Novoferm is presenting the new DCC 80 operator system for industrial doors. The DC technology combines many advantages of different drive and control types, making it a particularly efficient solution for sectional doors. The soft start and soft stop enable low-noise, gentle and long-lasting operation of the door. Compared to conventional operator systems, the new DCC 80 requires up to 30 minutes less installation time, as no additional safety devices are required for door areas of up to 10.5m2.
Increased energy efficiency and safety in loading technology
Novoferm now offers even more efficient and energy-saving complete solutions for the safe loading and unloading of lorries and containers. With its high insulating properties, the new fully insulated NovoDock L730 loading dock offers 40 per cent more thermal insulation than non-insulated dock levellers. If the opening of the dock leveller also needs to be closable to prevent cold or heat loss, the combination with the new T-Door from Novoferm is the right solution. Thanks to the special T-shaped recess in the lower door area, the T-Door ensures energy efficiency. One advantage of this door shape is that no additional structural measures are required in the hall floor for the door guide. This also makes the T-Door ideal for retrofitting.
