Novoferm will be presenting its current product portfolio with numerous innovations on 820 m² at BAU in Munich from 17 to 22 April 2023. As one of Europe's largest system providers of door and gate solutions and loading systems, the company is focussing on extended application options, the best possible thermal insulation and energy-saving solutions as well as simpler installation.
At stand 339 in hall B3, Novoferm will be presenting new developments and product improvements in the field of garage and industrial doors as well as new solutions for sheet steel doors and tubular frame doors. A special feature will be the thermally separated garage door and the optimised industrial doors for food and refrigeration logistics. Further developments in loading technology will also be on show. In addition, visitors can expect some major innovations, although these will not be announced until BAU in April.
New garage door with thermal break
With a thermally insulated door for single and double garages, Novoferm fulfils the wish of many building owners for more energy-saving potential in their own homes. With the newly developed Evolution premium sectional door, the outer and inner shells are thermally separated. The sandwich panels with a thickness of 45 mm provide up to 17 per cent better insulation than door solutions with comparable section thicknesses. This minimises potential heat loss in garages that are integrated into the thermal building envelope.
Other highlights on the Novoferm stand will include an update to its NovoPort garage door side operator, which is exclusively available from Novoferm, and the extended smart home applications for its garage doors, which include control via Wi-Fi module and voice assistants.
Steel doors with extended functionality
Novoferm is also further expanding its platform concept in the commercial door segment. With an extension to the size of the proven NovoPorta Premio thick rebate steel door series, all fire protection classes up to EI90 are now also available in oversizes, for example. The range of applications has also been extended, as these doors are now also approved for installation at greater heights. Numerous new special features can also be realised - for example with mechanical locking systems or electrically operated motorised lock variants. New fire-resistant glass and the option of using fire-resistant ventilation grilles further round off the portfolio.
Installation of the NovoPorta Premio will be even easier in future. The multifunctional mounting element in the basic corner frame sets standards for different installation methods for installation in all common wall types. The further improved rebate screw installation now saves even more installation time and optimises the number of fasteners required as well as the variety of possible frame back panels.
More energy efficiency for industrial doors
Thermally separated industrial doors are always the first choice from an economic and ecological point of view when different temperature zones need to be separated from each other. This is why Novoferm has now also developed thermally separated aluminium sections for its sectional doors with 40 mm panels. This means that all sectional doors from Novoferm are now available with thermally separated sections.
Novoferm has also developed a new wicket door that offers many advantages. Thanks to the adjustable hinges, it will be easier to install in future, easier to lock and allows adjustment over a longer period of time. Another plus: the door panels can be replaced without dismantling the entire door. The new wicket door will initially be introduced in Q2/2023 for the 40 mm thermal industrial sectional door in a width of up to 1.25 metres.
The range of high-speed doors for the industrial sector has also been expanded. Speedroller Prime XF - the luxury version of the Prime door - is now available in an ISO version: the Prime XF ISO is ideal for use in cold stores.
Optimised loading technology for trucks and containers
In times of climate change and the energy transition, cold and heat protection in temperature-controlled warehouses is becoming increasingly important for logistics companies, as unnecessary heat escapes during the loading and unloading process. With this in mind, Novoferm has further optimised the thermal insulation of the NovoDock L730i dock leveller. The design has also been improved so that on-site preparation is even easier and installation time is reduced. The new NovoDock L730 is also the first dock leveller that can be supplemented with the optimised iQ-Slide feed. This patented solution prevents the forklift truck from slipping dangerously off the dock leveller by automatically moving with the truck. The market launch of the new NovoDock L730 is planned for Q1/2023.
Digital support with various tools
There are also many innovations in the area of digital services. In addition to the solution generator, which planners and industrial customers can use to configure suitable Novoferm products for their specific construction project, further new app solutions and smart tools will be presented at BAU.
