Novoferm cancels participation in BAU 2025 trade fair
Novoferm will not be exhibiting at BAU 2025. The company took this decision after careful consideration. As one of Europe's largest system suppliers of hinged door and garage door solutions as well as docking systems, the company has decided that in the future it will focus its resources even more on other communication formats, with the aim of reaching its target groups even more effectively.
Customer feedback was the deciding factor
For many years Novoferm has exhibited at BAU, the world's leading trade fair for architecture, materials and systems. "We feel closely connected to the Munich trade fair," says Novoferm CEO Rainer Schackmann. "Nevertheless, presenting ourselves within the framework of BAU has become less attractive to the company for a number of reasons."
Besides the sharp drop in visitor numbers from 250,000 to 190,000, some renowned manufacturers were already absent from this year's BAU. In addition, from discussions with trade visitors it has become apparent that more personalised and more targeted approaches and presentations will be preferred in the future. Another decisive factor for Novoferm is customer behaviour in terms of how they inform themselves and make purchases, which has changed significantly in recent years, especially due to the coronavirus pandemic and the digital transformation.
Focus on more targeted approaches to customers
In the future, Novoferm will pursue new and more effective ways of communicating with our customers and presenting our products. Schackmann emphasises that "we will align our marketing strategies even more strongly with the customer's desire for a more individual approach and innovative formats". “Customers can look forward to more intensive contact and individual dialogue via various platforms. For example, demand-driven presentation of our products and services at events characterised by experiences will take on a greater role.”
For presenting the digital service modules too, Novoferm also plans to adapt the type of communication even more towards our customers’ needs in order to present digital solutions in a targeted and holistic way right along the process chain - from sales to the construction site to after-sales service.
