GARAGE SECTIONAL DOORS

The principle behind it is as ingenious as it is simple: the sectional garage door consists of individual elements, known as sections, which are connected to each other by hinges. This makes it easy to slide vertically under the ceiling without the need for additional pivoting space in front of the garage.

As the sectional garage door - unlike the up-and-over door - does not swing out, you can use every last centimetre of the space in front of the garage, for example for parking a second car. Even the flow of traffic is not impaired in any way if the garage is close to a road or footpath.

As the sections are pushed under the ceiling to save space, there is also more room in the garage - ideal for tall vehicles such as off-road vehicles or vans.

With a sectional door with an electric operator, you always have the full clearance height at your disposal. When replacing an up-and-over door with a sectional door, the passage is even wider, as the sectional garage door is not installed in the opening, but behind it. Novoferm sectional doors are also the ideal solution for renovations, as the full passage width is also available with a narrow stop width of just 80 mm per side.

Our steel sections are manufactured exclusively in double-walled sandwich construction and filled with a heat-insulating PUR rigid foam core. In contrast to single-walled doors, this ensures better sound and heat insulation as well as particularly quiet door operation.

Novoferm sectional garage doors provide high to maximum thermal insulation thanks to a 20, 45 or 67 mm thick PUR rigid foam core. The 45 mm thick PUR rigid foam of the iso 45 sectional garage door, for example, already provides a very high level of thermal and sound insulation. The flexible lip seals between the individual sections of the door are soft to the touch even at low temperatures, preventing heat loss and the ingress of dust.

Only the Premium Plus sectional garage door offers even more effective heat and sound insulation:
With an overall section thickness of 70 mm, patented sections and additional seals between the sections, it offers insulation in a class of its own. There are also window variants with triple glazing, which ensure maximum light transmission in addition to high thermal insulation.

The optional sealing and insulating moulding system improves the already excellent performance characteristics of the double-walled Novoferm ^E® sectional garage doors. Up to 15 %* better thermal insulation thanks to 3-sided thermal optimisation of the frame when installed behind the opening. Quick and easy installation thanks to plug and clip profile, can be used with all Novoferm ^E® sectional garage doors. The Thermo frame set actively supports the optimisation of the building's performance balance. * This performance value depends on the door motif and door size.

The door is opened approx. 10 cm to ventilate the garage. The door can be brought into the ventilation position from any position by pressing the second button on the hand-held transmitter or via an app. After 60 minutes, it closes either automatically or in advance by pressing the transmitter.

All our garage door openers and additional equipment (e.g. light strips) are equipped with modern, energy-saving LED lighting, which ensures exceptional brightness, economy and energy efficiency. Another energy advantage of many of our operators is the low energy consumption of just 0.5 watts in stand-by mode.

A rubber profile on the bottom edge of the door protects against water and dirt, compensates for minor unevenness in the ground and prevents damage and injury. The seal is made of EPDM (ethylene propylene diene rubber), an elastic, weather-resistant and durable material.

4. adaptable frame foot
Our garage doors have a weather-resistant frame foot made of galvanised steel. This allows water and waterlogging to run off without causing rust on the frame. The stepped design makes it easier to replace up-and-over doors with bottom tracks with sectional doors.
