Future security and strengthening of the operating business
Dr. René Schmitz is a new member of the Novoferm Management Board
Rees, October 2022. Novoferm, one of the leading companies for door and garage door solutions and loading systems in Europe, is responding to the current and future challenges in the areas of purchasing, development, manufacturing and logistics with a change in the management board.
Since mid-May Dr.René Schmitz has been Chief Supply Chain Officer (CSCO) at Novoferm, responsible for Operations, Logistics, Purchasing, Research & Development (R&D). In these areas, Dr. Schmitz will in particular, continue to drive forward the topics of "Industry 4.0", "Digitalization" and "Sustainability", which are key areas for growth and competitiveness in the constantly changing market.
At present, it is also necessary to manage the operational challenges in relation to the disproportionately high material and energy prices as well as material availability.

In recent years, the Novoferm Group has been able to increase sales to almost €800 million p.a. and the number of employees to over 3,500, despite global crises. Together with Dr. Schmitz,the growth course we have chosen is to be continued in the future.
Dr. René Schmitz succeeds Dirk Gößling, who left the management board in May.
